Should I build or just use an existing platform?
Use an existing platform while you're small — the maths rarely favours building under a few hundred students. Building starts to make sense when per-seat fees are material, when you want the brand to be yours, or when you need something the platform can't do.
Do you run a language school yourself?
Yes. I deal with scheduling, teacher workload, retention and students who go quiet for three weeks in my own business.
Where do lessons and student data live?
In the EU by default — Frankfurt — on infrastructure registered to you. Relevant if your students are in Europe and you'd rather not explain a transatlantic data transfer to a parent.
Can I start with lessons and add more later?
Yes. Get teaching working first, then add payments, automated practice or a second track once you know what the teachers need.
